MONTHLY PRESIDENT'S NOTES

IMG 1536 509x640

According to the internet, a swan’s dying song is the most beautiful. Now don’t get your hopes up. My swan song may not be so beautiful.

The last three years have been quite an adventure, especially this last one. But what has made it really worthwhile is the people I have been able to work with and the members in general. Your board of directors has done a lot of work to keep things going and the good news is that most of them will be continuing in their positions. Bob Wiggins is moving off the board after having been activity chair and before that vice president. Thanks Bob for all you have done. David Baulch is retiring as librarian. Thanks David for getting and keeping our library materials organized.

Greg Stehle, your new president, will need the same support you have given me to get us through this crazy season.

I will still be around and hope to be able to SEE everyone face to face safely and soon.

I hope you have been using this down time in the shop making chips or rather making turnings. I have continued to clean the shop one log at a time but unfortunately as I bring in logs for the fireplace, some are too pretty to burn so they end up in the shop as another bowl blank.

A big thanks to Glynn for his shop notes sessions. I actually took my big chuck apart, cleaned it and got it successfully back together. And it works much smoother than before.
Keep turning and be safe.

Be safe!

Bill Collins
